The WaunaFest Run is a 43 year community tradition. A portion of the proceeds are donated to WaunaFest and enables the Waunakee Area Chamber to operate as a non-profit information resource to businesses and the public year-round.

WaunaFest Run starts and ends at Lot F of the Waunakee High School, right next to Wauktoberfest at Endres Manufacturing. Join the fun and register by September 9, 2021 to guarantee your race t-shirt. (or until race day with a no t-shirt guarantee) See why “Silent Sports” Magazine rates this run “one of the best in the area, where community participation and support still mean something.” Enjoy a great race, music, food, beer and a weekend of Wauktoberfest fun!

  • September 9 – Last day to register to guarantee a race t-shirt. 
  • September 14 – Online registration closes at midnight.
  • September 17 – Packet Pick Up from 4-6 p.m.
  • September 18 – Race Day – 10:00 a.m.

Registration is a flat fee of $30. (No early bird rates or late fees!) No refunds will be issued and the event will occur regardless of weather. Registrations can be reassigned with advance notice.

Register up until race time, but by 4:00pm on Thursday, September 9, 2021 to guarantee a race t-shirt.

Online registration will close on September 14th at midnight. We will be accepting paper applications up until race time at 10:00 a.m. on September 18, 2021.

The WaunaFest Run 5K is a timed event. The MYLAPS BibTag Timing system is used to ensure accurate timing. Your timing tag is on the back of your bib and does not need to be returned after the race. Your bib must be properly worn for the timing mats to read your bib tag and record accurate results. Your time will be posted online the day of the event.

The race will start and end at Lot F of the Waunakee High School on Community Drive, right next to Wauktoberfest at Endres Manufacturing.  Please see the 5K map route.

The WaunaFest Run is brought to you by the Waunakee Area Chamber of Commerce with  Livable Communities by Don Tierney, TDS, ReMax/Acker-Farber Team, David’s Certified Auto Repair, Karls Family Dentistry, as the Signature Sponsors, and One Community Bank as our Executive Event Sponsor. Check the website for our additional sponsors and all are included on the back of our Race shirts.

A percentage of the proceeds are given back to WaunaFest Non-profit Organization to help bring WaunaFest Festival to you year after year. A portion of the proceeds also help support Chamber programs and projects that enhance economic development and community partnerships and allow the doors of the chamber to be open to the public 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Run is a traditional part of the WaunaFest Weekend community celebration, and the Chamber is excited to be a part of this great event!

Waunakee’s annual fall festival Wauktoberfest runs from Friday, September 17 through Sunday, September 19, 2021. There will be food, beer, music, inflatables, hammer sluggin and pumpkin decorating! 

Yes. You can fill out this paper application and send it with a check to the Waunakee Area Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 41, Waunakee, WI 53597. If you’d prefer to pay by cash, stop by the Chamber Depot M-F from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. We will also accept cash registrations during packet pickup on September 17th (4-6 p.m. at the Village Center) and on September 18th. (8:30-10 a.m. on the race grounds)

Yes. Day of registration will run from 8:30-10:00 a.m. at Lot F of Waunakee High School on Community Drive, right next to Wauktoberfest at Endres Manufacturing.

No refunds will be issued. The event will occur regardless of weather. Registrations can be reassigned to a runner with advance notice.

Pets are not permitted (however, service animals are allowed). For safety reasons, no strollers or baby joggers are allowed in the 5K run.
